The Loferer Alm with her snow covered slopes, and a downhill run guaranteeing ski fun for the entire family. The little ones will learn the art that is skiing in the kid's world and at the ski schools. Farmers’ Autumn in the Salzburg Region
As the days grow shorter and the trees begin to glow in vibrant colors, as mist drifts across the landscape and the first frost settles over the alpine pastures, autumn arrives. For farmers and alpine herdsmen, it is time to return to the valley with their livestock.
If both people and animals have come safely through the summer on the mountain pastures, the cows are traditionally decorated for the ceremonial cattle drive (“Almabtrieb”) as a sign of gratitude. This custom is still proudly preserved in our region and celebrated during the Farmers’ Autumn season.
